  • Matters is a goal-setting and reflection app designed to help you focus on what truly matters in your life. By setting weekly intentions, reflecting on your progress, and staying accountable, Matters guides you towards achieving your personal goals.

  • Matters is for anyone looking to live a more intentional life. Whether you're a student, professional, parent, or retiree, Matters can help you prioritize your goals, improve your habits, and make meaningful progress.

  • Getting started with Matters is easy! Download the app, create an account, and begin by setting your first few Matters. Choose goals that are important to you, set weekly intentions, and start reflecting on your progress.

  • A Matter is a goal, habit, or priority that you want to focus on. It can be anything from improving your fitness, learning a new skill, spending more time with family, or even a specific project at work.

  • Using Matters helps you stay focused, accountable, and intentional. It encourages self-reflection, helps you track your progress, and supports you in making consistent improvements towards your goals.

  • Matters operates on a simple methodology: Set, Act, Reflect. You set your Matters, define weekly intentions, take action, and reflect on your progress. This cycle helps you stay aligned with your goals and make continuous improvements.

MATTERS & REFLECTION

  • You can rate your Matters on a weekly basis, which helps you track your progress and stay focused. The rating period opens every Sunday at 5 PM and closes the following Monday at noon. A countdown timer in the app shows you exactly when the rating window opens. During this time, rate each of your active Matters, reflect on your past week, and set new intentions for the upcoming week. This routine ensures continuous progress and helps you stay aligned with your goals.

  • If you miss a week, don’t worry! Simply pick up where you left off. Consistency is key, but occasional lapses won’t derail your overall progress. Just get back to setting your intentions and reflecting as soon as you can. You can also go back to the week you missed and still rate it, which will restore your streak if you had one.

  • Update your Matters whenever your priorities change or you achieve a goal. Regularly reviewing and adjusting your Matters ensures they stay relevant and aligned with your current life situation.

  • Each week, take a few moments in a calm environment to set clear, actionable intentions related to your Matters. Make sure they are specific and achievable to maintain motivation and track progress effectively.

  • At the end of each week, review your intentions and write down your thoughts on what went well and what could be improved. This reflection helps you understand your progress and adjust your approach as needed.

  • At the bare minimum, it is enough to rate your Matters every week. This simple act alone provides great insights and accountability, helping you stay focused on what truly matters in your life. However, setting weekly intentions and reflecting on the past week can significantly enhance your experience and progress. Weekly intentions help you clearly define your goals and keep them actionable and time-bound, while reflections allow you to learn from your experiences and make necessary adjustments. Using these additional features can lead to even greater personal growth and success on your journey with Matters.

  • Complete a Matter when you feel you have made sufficient progress or achieved your goal. Celebrate your success, reflect on what you've learned, and then set new Matters to continue your journey. Completed Matters are archived so you can always check your notes and ratings. You can also reactivate a Matter whenever you want.

  • Pause a Matter if you need a break or if other priorities take precedence. Pausing allows you to return to it later without feeling overwhelmed.

  • Yes, you can edit or delete Matters at any time. This flexibility allows you to adjust your goals as your priorities change.

ACCOUNT & PRIVACY

  • An account is required to save your progress, sync data across devices, and ensure your information is backed up securely. It also enables personalized features and notifications.

  • Yes, your data is secure and private. We use encryption and other security measures to protect your information. We respect your privacy and never share your data without your consent.

  • You can manage your account settings within the app. Go to the settings menu to update your personal information, change your password, or adjust your notification preferences.

  • To reset your password, go to the login screen and select "Forgot Password." Follow the prompts to receive a reset link via email and create a new password.

USAGE & FEATURES

  • Matters is free to try without restrictions for one week. After that, you'll need to subscribe, with monthly and yearly options available.

  • Notifications help you stay on track by reminding you to rate your Matters, reflect on your week, and set new intentions. You can turn off notifications in the app settings, but we highly recommend using them as they are crucial and beneficial. We've designed our notifications to be useful and personalized to assist you on your journey without being annoying.

  • Yes, you can use Matters offline. Your data will sync with our servers once you are back online, ensuring your progress is always up to date.

  • Matters is currently available for iPhone. If you'd like to see support for other specific devices or platforms, please let us know and send us an email to feedback@thisappmatters.com.

  • Currently, Matters does not offer direct integration with other apps. However, we are constantly working on new features and integrations to enhance your experience. Let us know which integrations you would like to see by sending us an email to feedback@thisappmatters.com.
